Assistant Materials Coordinator (1942) – Facilities – San Francisco International Airport (SFO)

Compensation: $120,692 – $146,718 annually (city employee)

What You’ll Do- Manage the planning, ordering, receiving, storing and distributing of essential materials and supplies critical to airport operations.
- Develop and enforce materials management policies, and provide expert guidance to other departments.
- Supervise a team of inventory and warehouse staff, and coordinate inbound freight and material movement.
- Maintain a computerized inventory management system, perform physical counts, and recommend inventory adjustments.
- Prepare annual budgets, schedule expenditures, and analyze variances to achieve financial objectives.
- Implement security procedures to safeguard warehouse operations and inventory.
- Identify and remove obsolete inventory, and ensure timely record‑keeping.
- Baccalaureate degree in public administration, economics, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- Three (3) years of verifiable experience managing a complex computerized inventory system with repetitive replenishment cycles.
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience within that system.
- Experience running a large warehouse and materials distribution operation.
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems such as Infor, Mainsaver or Maximo.
- Decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
