Overview
We’re looking for a senior global entities manager and corporate governance professional to help scale our international footprint. This role operates at the intersection of Legal, Finance, Tax, Equity and Operations, building, owning and continuously improving the systems, processes and programs that support Canva’s global subsidiaries and expansion efforts.

About the TeamThe Corporate Legal & Equity Operations Team works closely with Canva’s leadership, Finance, Tax, People, and Total Rewards teams to support offerings, acquisitions, global expansion, board advice, and employee equity management.
What You’ll Be DoingAs the senior global entities manager, you will own Canva’s entity lifecycle and governance, drive global expansion, lead insurance renewal cycles, manage integration, securities, and strategic support, and serve as a trusted advisor to leadership.
Entity Management and Governance- Own Canva’s global entity lifecycle and governance end to end: in corporations, maintenance, capital injections, restructurings, integrations, wind‑downs, subsidiary board and shareholder operations and statutory compliance across jurisdictions.
- Build and continuously improve scalable processes, systems and documentation for entity management, enabling self‑service while maintaining audit readiness.
- Act as the single owner and point of accountability for entity‑related work, driving organization, prioritization and execution across teams.
- Lead the legal execution of global expansion by establishing new entities and building repeatable playbooks to launch entities efficiently and consistently.
- Develop deep expertise in global mobility and equity‑related considerations, providing clear guidance and scalable frameworks for employee relocations and cross‑border moves.
- Lead annual insurance renewal cycles, partnering with brokers and internal partners to gather business information and ensure timely policy placement.
- Own and support placement decisions across the global Canva group to ensure compliance with local requirements and appropriate coverage.
- Own corporate legal integration of acquired companies, embedding them into Canva’s entity management frameworks.
- Support securities law compliance and related filings with legal colleagues and external advisors.
- Drive executive‑sponsored, cross‑functional initiatives related to corporate structure and governance, advising leadership on risks and opportunities.
- Have 10+ years of experience in corporate governance, entity management, legal operations, program management or a related field, ideally within a fast‑growing global technology company.
- Have hands‑on experience managing international subsidiary portfolios, including formation, compliance, restructurings and integrations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Bring strong judgment and a pragmatic, risk‑aware approach to corporate governance and compliance.
- Have a proven track record of building scalable processes and systems from scratch and evolving them with organizational growth.
- Are highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
- Communicate clearly and confidently, especially with leadership and in governance or board‑facing contexts.
- Are collaborative, low‑ego and comfortable influencing across functions and geographies without formal authority.
- Are comfortable using and improving technology and tools that support entity management, board operations, records management and cross‑functional collaboration.
