Enterprise Risk & Insurance | Director

The Director of Enterprise Risk & Insurance is a senior leadership role responsible for protecting the organization’s assets, financial stability, and operational resilience through comprehensive enterprise risk management and insurance strategies. This individual will own the company’s global risk and insurance programs, oversee claims and loss control initiatives, and serve as the primary internal expert on risk mitigation across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience from a large, complex organization ($100M+ revenue through Fortune 500), demonstrates strong executive presence, and has successfully partnered across legal, finance, operations, HR, and external vendors to manage risk at scale.

• 12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise risk management, corporate insurance, claims management, or closely related disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience working within mid-market to large enterprises ($100M+ revenue to Fortune 500 environments).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field strongly preferred (or equivalent professional experience).
• Significant hands-on experience overseeing claims, implementing loss control programs, and managing third-party vendors.
• Prior exposure to alternative risk financing, self-insurance, or captive structures is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
• Prior people management experience required; ability to mentor and develop a lean, high-impact team.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to operate at both strategic and executional levels.
