The Program Manager (0923) for FCS will be responsible for managing a unit of Social Work Specialists and Program Support Analysts in Transitional Age Services. This manager will need to attend regular meetings that may be held out-of-state, over the weekend, and/or during non-traditional work hours.
The essential duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Coordinates the daily workflow of the Transitional Age Services unit by providing oversight to staff and tools and resources for staff to successfully perform their tasks.
- Implements team building efforts and increases morale with the team and entire office.
- Supervises staff by addressing personnel issues through coaching, counseling, mentoring, and disciplining staff, when applicable, to ensure employees are held accountable and performing at acceptable levels.
- Works with Human Resources, personnel, and other departments to coordinate hiring, progressive discipline, and other personnel issues.
- Acts as a point-person for supervisors, analysts, or other staff to answer complex questions or when higher-level decisions need to be made.
- Manages, oversees, and/or implements planning activities for the Transitional Age Services unit, such as contract development, contract management, policy development, policies and procedures, and program implementation.
- Designs and implements guidelines to improve services for children and families and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Provides regular updates to the Program Director and shares key information with staff during meetings to support effective program operations.
- Attends community, City, State, and Federal meetings, as needed, to share and/or gather information for the Transitional Age Services Program.
- Responds to and resolves internal or external complaints, such as work-related issues between staff and supervisors or complaints from youth, families, or caregivers pertaining to the process, bias, and service provided by staff.
- Regularly reviews and analyzes existing data reports for compliance and outcomes and facilitates discussions on date with staff and supervisors.
