The Global Facilities Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the company’s facilities, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and a safe, productive work environment across all global locations. This role is central to maintaining the physical infrastructure, implementing effective security protocols, driving environmental stewardship through ISO 14001 compliance, and championing a robust Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) culture.
This position reports to the VP of IT and Facilities.
Key Responsibilities Facilities Management- Develop and execute a global facilities strategy, encompassing maintenance, repairs, capital projects, space planning, and resource allocation.
- Manage facility budgets, vendor contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure cost‑effective and high‑quality service delivery.
- Oversee all construction, renovation, and move projects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and compliance with local regulations.
- Implement and manage a standardized preventative maintenance program for all critical building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, etc.) across all sites.
- Ensure the physical appearance and operational functionality of all facilities reflect the company’s professional standards.
- Lead the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company’s Environmental Management System (EMS) in accordance with the ISO 14001 standard.
- Ensure all global facilities maintain ISO 14001 certification through regular internal audits, management reviews, and coordination with external registrars.
- Establish environmental objectives and targets, monitor performance, and report on the effectiveness of the EMS to executive leadership.
- Manage all environmental compliance obligations, including waste management, pollution prevention, resource consumption, and emissions tracking.
- Establish and enforce global security policies, procedures, and protocols to protect company assets, personnel, and intellectual property.
- Manage physical security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and alarm systems.
- Oversee security training for employees and coordinate with external security contractors or local law enforcement as necessary.
- Develop and manage the company’s business continuity and emergency response plans related to facility security incidents.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive global EHS program, ensuring compliance with all international, federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits across all facilities to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis processes, tracking metrics to drive continuous safety improvement.
- Provide EHS training to employees, managers, and contractors to foster a strong safety culture.
- Manage occupational health programs and ensure ergonomic considerations are integrated into facility design and workstation setup.
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in facilities management, with at least 3 years in a global or multi‑site leadership role.
