ABM Industries is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Engineering Manager to lead our onsite engineering teams for a specific geographic area and oversee multiple Engineering Managers and client relations for a specific region. The Regional Engineering Manager will report to the Vice President of Engineering and oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of their own engineering accounts as well as oversee those of their assigned Engineering Managers, ensuring that they are properly managed, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a proven track record of managing engineering teams in a dynamic environment.

Pay

$149,898 - $225,000. The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities

The Regional Engineering Manager is responsible for the overall implementation of ABM policies and procedures, engineering standards, and safety programs in his/her assigned portfolio of buildings, as well as those of their assigned Engineering Managers. In addition, each Regional Manager will ensure support and back‑up of all accounts within their region is maintained. In some cases, this support and responsibility will be extended nationally.

The Regional Engineering Manager manages Human Resources within a portfolio with emphasis on minimizing liability and risk exposure.

Further, the Regional Engineering Manager oversees client needs and manages expectations for assigned accounts while providing leadership, guidance, and operational support to Engineering Managers within the region. This role also partners closely with Sales and Marketing to align engineering initiatives with organizational goals and support strategic business development efforts.

This may include, but is not limited to: maintaining current client relationships, improving portfolio relationships and marketing new clients.

Responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the local workforce to include the following:

  • Participate in long‑term, strategic account planning, including budget and growth forecasting.
  • Participate in periodic financial reviews of all accounts within assigned region.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Union Collective Bargaining Agreement requirements and ensure they are met at all locations within his/her region.
  • Support/drive recruiting efforts to ensure open positions are filled in a timely manner including those of their Engineering Managers assigned.
  • Support/drive collections efforts for overdue accounts as needed in their region.
  • Direct ABM Engineering employees in the following:
    • Mechanical Operations
    • Human Resources management
    • Implementation of client objectives
    • Implementation of Energy initiatives
    • Ensure consistent reporting
    • Ensure ABM Engineering operational standards are implemented
    • Ensure ABM Engineering safety programs are implemented
    • Training – safety, procedural and technical for area employees.
    • Provide supervision over company directed QA program.
    • Provide supervision over company directed safety program.
    • Auditing/benchmarking of job sites and employee processes.
    • Develop and implement company and job site standards.
    • Oversee scheduling of job site supervisors and employees.
    • Facilitate accurate billing and accounting.
