The role is based in San Francisco and leads North America direct investing.

TVG deploys approximately C $1 billion annually into minority investments in scaled private technology companies. Portfolio companies include SpaceX, Databricks, Canva, Anthropic, Gusto, and Grafana. Average initial equity commitment is approximately US $100 million, with TVG frequently leading or co-leading rounds at Series C and later.

Key responsibilities include owning sector coverage within North American technology, developing differentiated investment theses, originating and leading minority growth investments, writing and defending investment committee recommendations, serving as board member or observer, and developing junior investment talent.

Requirements include 12+ years of direct investing experience in later-stage venture or growth equity, a demonstrated track record leading minority investments in scaled technology companies, meaningful board experience through exit, deep credible relationships across Silicon Valley and the broader North American technology ecosystem, and strong transaction leadership and negotiation capabilities. Candidates limited to early-stage investing or without direct underwriting responsibility will not be considered.
