Diamond Foundry is seeking a skilled Technician to join our Surface Finishing team in Fremont, CA. As a Wafer Cleaning Technician in the Research and Development group, you will be joining a small group focused on quality, efficiency, and cost in Single Crystal Diamond wafer cleaning development. This position supports the engineering effort through the preparation and operation of wafer cleaning equipment and related metrology tools.
The incumbent will be expected to work in a normal 5-day per week shift.
- Assists process engineering in developmental and improvement projects on cleaning and inspection of diamond and Si wafers.
- Cleaning of diamond/Si wafers and samples.
- Inspection and measurements of the Post-Cleaning wafers with optical microscope, WLI, etc., metrology tools.
- Set up, operate, and clean wafer cleaning, polishing, and packaging equipment, including preparing cleaning chemicals and CMP slurries.
- Write and improve SOPs, train technicians, and update the system and stakeholders on backlog and progress. Enforce cleanroom protocols.
- Associates or bachelor's degree relevant to chemistry, chemical engineering, and/or materials science and engineering.
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in a cleaning and/or polishing environment.
- Knowledge of surface measurement/inspection techniques.
- Experience with cleaning and polishing equipment.
- Attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
$36 - $42 an hour
Physical Requirements- Use appropriate PPE and follow all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
- Will often sit, stand for long periods, walk, grasp, reach with hands and arms, lift below and above shoulders, bend, twist at the waist, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, talk, hear, see, use fine finger manipulation, and complete repetitive motions.
- May require the use of ladders or stairs.
- May require driving or the use of foot controls.
- Lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
