Job SummarySupervise manufacturing work teams to meet customer quality, on‑time delivery, and compliance with company policies, while maintaining production schedules and continuous improvement efforts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Supervise work teams and individuals in manufacturing to meet customer quality and on‑time delivery needs.
- Supervise work teams and individuals to comply with company policies.
- Analyze work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules.
- Schedule and/or approve overtime and vacations.
- Manage teams by establishing monthly and quarterly performance goals.
- Assist in setting and achieving productivity and quality targets for the various teams.
- Coach team members in their continuous improvement efforts.
- Interface with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
- Inspect and measure parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
- Direct workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products that fail to meet standards.
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
- Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.
- Maintain time and production records.
- Develop capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times.
- Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials.
- Review daily production reports and forms.
- Attend Daily Manufacturing Review Meetings.
- Support the Manufacturing Manager in meeting department goals and objectives.
- Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or 3‑5 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position entails access to export‑controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
- Must be able to work on site in City of Industry, California.
- Must be able to work on the 2nd Shift, approximate start time: 3:00 PM.
- Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends depending on business needs.
- Able to lift 15‑25 lbs unassisted and repetitively.
- Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position.
