• supervise and direct department employees ensuring adherence to safe food handling practices and regulatory compliance, while production quality products.
• assist manager in staffing and continuous improvement of department through training, coaching, leading and supervising.
• enforce company policies, procedures, regulations and practices, and gmps within your department.
• produce and distribute reports as required.
• ensure customer standards and expectations are met.
• assist in relationship communication with usda inspectors and quality assurance team members.
• assist with interview, selection, training, onboarding and coaching of new and existing supervisors and production team members.
• lead and assist with preparation of 3rd party and internal audits.
• all other relevant duties to the position.

• bachelor degree in food, animal or poultry science, or other closely related field of study preferred.
• 3+ years supervisor experience required, preferably in poultry or meat processing.
• proficient technology, computer, mathematics and analysis skills.

• typical office environment within a manufacturing plant utilizing computers, telephones and other office equipment.
• frequently sit for long periods.
• occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
• may be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), co2, and moving production lines.
• may be exposed to damp, wet, and cold environments.
• work around live and/or raw animal odors.
