The Technical Designer converts garment designs into well-fitting, high-quality products that are ready for production. They work closely with Design, Product Development, Merchandising, Sourcing, Vendors, and Manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage garment fit, construction, and quality across products and sizes.
  • Create and maintain Tech Packs with measurements, construction details, stitching, trims, and sewing requirements.
  • Participate in and lead fit sessions with fit models.
  • Identify fit issues and recommend corrections.
  • Review and approve samples before production.
  • Ensure garments meet brand fit, quality, and construction standards
    .
  • Work with factories and vendors to resolve technical and production issues.
  • Identify risks related to sizing, fabric, construction, and manufacturability
    .
  • Review measurement data, fit reports, and sample feedback to make technical decisions.
  • Partner with Designers, Product Developers, Merchandising, Sourcing, and Quality teams.
Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction
  • Experience with fit evaluation and garment alterations
  • Knowledge of pattern making and grading
  • Understanding of fabric behavior and sewing techniques
  • Experience creating or managing Tech Packs
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with vendors/factories

  • Centric PLM
  • FlexPLM

Preferred digital product tools:

  • CLO 3D
  • Optitex
  • Lectra
Ideal Candidate
  • Looking for a hands-on apparel/garment Technical Designer who has experience with fit, pattern making, grading, Tech Packs, garment construction, and vendor/factory coordination
    . PLM experience is highly preferred.
