Machine Tool Setup Technician

You are an experienced Machine Tool Setup Technician with hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC or conventional machine tools. You are comfortable reading blueprints and technical drawings, making machine adjustments, and ensuring equipment is properly set up to produce accurate, high-quality parts.

$32.00–$40.00 per hour

• Set up and prepare machine tools
  for production runs.
• Install and adjust tooling,
  fixtures, and work holding devices.
• Load programs and make necessary
  machine offsets and adjustments.
• Read and interpret blueprints,
  drawings, and technical specifications.
• Inspect finished parts using
  precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot setup and machining
  issues and make adjustments as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and
  organized work environment.
• Work closely with machinists,
  engineers, and production teams to meet quality and production
  requirements.

• Hands-on experience setting up
  machine tools in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret
  blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of cutting tools,
  tooling, fixtures, feeds, and speeds.
• Experience using precision
  measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong
  troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently
  while following established quality and safety procedures.
• CNC setup experience is highly
  preferred.
