Develop and maintain the connectivity layer that enables Vitesse to communicate with industrial equipment, automation systems, robots, sensors, and enterprise software across diverse operational environments. The ideal candidate has a strong appetite for reverse-engineering, and is unafraid to hack into — and even break — equipment in order to understand and develop its capabilities better than its creators.
- Build connectors for PLCs, robots, CNCs, SCADA, MES, historians, and IoT platforms.
- Ensure reliable, deterministic communication.
- Support both legacy and modern industrial systems.
- OPC UA, Modbus, Profinet, Ether Net/IP.
- MTConnect, FOCAS.
- MQTT, REST, and vendor-specific APIs.
- Computer science and industrial automation background.
- PLC programming.
- Robotics and embedded systems.
- C++, C#, or Python.
