Job Description & How to Apply Below

For those who aren’t striving to be the best or fastest on the mountain, Yardsale is a different kind of outdoor brand that designs elevated gear and accessories packed with clever features that simplify your day outside, whether you’re on the ski mountain or at the airport.

Job Description

We’re looking for a creative and self‑motivated marketing generalist to join our small but growing team. This is a unique opportunity to help shape Yardsale’s brand as we continue to grow over the next 3‑5 years.

This role is ideal for someone who loves variety, moves quickly, and wants to work across social, content, email, partnerships, and web, rather than being boxed into a single channel. This will be Yardsale’s second full-time hire
, and you’ll work closely with the co‑founders onsite in San Francisco.

You Will
  • Help manage our influencer, UGC creator, and community outreach
  • Assist in the execution of our social media calendar across Instagram and Tik Tok
  • Help spin up new static and video ads in Figma and Cap Cut
  • Develop creative social content ideas and campaigns that align with our marketing and product launch calendar
  • Assist with email campaign development and execution
  • Assist with brand activations and external brand partnerships
  • Help update product pages, write copy, and create new landing pages across our website
You Are
  • Equal parts strategic and execution-oriented
  • Extremely online, ahead of trends, and fluent in digital culture, design, and consumer behavior
  • Curious, proactive, and comfortable learning by doing
  • Creative! We try to go where other traditional outdoor brands don’t and want this to span across everything we do, including product, operations, and marketing
  • Excited to work at an early‑stage brand where things change season‑to‑season
Basic Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in brand or social media marketing (experience in the outdoor industry is not a requirement but consumer brand experience is strongly preferred)
  • Strong willingness to learn and lean in depending on the company’s needs season‑by‑season
  • Strong understanding of the full marketing funnel
  • A personal connection to and understanding of outdoor activities (trail running, surfing, skiing, etc.) is a big plus
Tools & Systems
  • Strong proficiency in InDesign/Figma, and video editing in Cap Cut (this is a hard requirement)
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms
  • Experience with Notion
Must‑Haves
  • You must live in San Francisco and be available to come into our Cole Valley, SF office 5 days a week (with flexibility)
  • Strong copywriting skills and experience crafting copy for social, email, and web
  • Experience executing on content creation for social media, email campaigns, and newsletters
What This Role is Not
  • This is not a traditional social media manager role. You won’t be expected to independently own or operate social or any other channels in a silo—we collaborate closely on creative, execution, and direction across channels.
Examples of Your First Few Projects
  • Scout and build a roster of UGC creators to seed product to for our first summer apparel collection
  • Research and propose a retention‑focused email flow (post‑purchase, welcome, or re‑engagement) to improve customer lifetime value
  • Help plan our flagship retail store and coffee shop launch event
Benefits + Other Details
  • Salary range $70‑$85k depending on experience
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Access to pro deals and free gear
  • Start date will be May 2026 and you will be working at our SF HQ at 925 Cole Street
