Position: Product Marketing Manager I, Gifting

About the Role

We're looking for a strategic, customer-obsessed Product Marketing Manager to lead Uber’s global Gifting strategy. In this role, you’ll shape how millions of people use Uber to connect with each other through thoughtful, everyday moments – from sending a surprise latte to lifting a friend’s day with dinner, to gifting a digital card across the world.

As part of the Delivery Product Marketing team, you’ll define and execute the go-to-market strategy for Gifting across Gift Orders, Gift Cards, and new in‑app experiences – driving awareness, trust, and repeat adoption. You’ll partner closely with Product, Design, Ops, and Comms to evolve Uber’s gifting experience, build a distinctive value proposition, and bring new features – like personalization, recipient scheduling, and packaging – to life in ways that feel simple, human, and uniquely Uber.

This is a rare opportunity to define a new consumer habit on one of the world’s most loved platforms – transforming everyday acts of care into a global growth engine. You’ll combine insight, storytelling, and experimentation to make gifting with Uber as effortless, joyful, and meaningful as the moments that inspire it.

What You’ll Do
  • Cross-functional Leadership – Have influence over how cross‑functional groups connect with customers on our platform, partnering closely with sales, business development, and operations to provide customers with consistent messaging and high‑quality interactions with Uber.
  • Messaging & Positioning – Streamline how we communicate the breadth of our offering to customers across different audiences, ensuring it fits seamlessly into our broader merchant narrative.
  • Go-to-Market Excellence – Evolve our go‑to‑market muscle on product marketing teams to ensure we are effectively educating our customers with the right message, at the right time.
  • Global Leadership – Guide central and local strategies and tactics, working closely with the regional sales and operations teams to determine scaled resources and support in local implementation of best practices.
  • Research & Insights – Craft the learning agenda in partnership with research teams and use the insights to inform and guide ongoing product development, regional marketing, and central engagement programs.
Basic Qualifications
  • 4+ years of marketing experience delivering highly successful engagement and acquisition strategies, with 2+ years specifically in consumer product marketing.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Can articulate the essence of complex products and the value they create; can develop a strong messaging hierarchy and effective content strategy plan.
  • Willingness and know‑how to deeply understand the market, customers, and competition.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting and sharing work with executive leadership.
  • Strong leadership presence and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions.
  • Strong analytical skills – uses data to create insightful stories, inform strategies, and guide decision making.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a large number of teams across multiple countries, time zones, backgrounds, and functions to push projects to completion.
  • A hard‑working, detailed, organized, and motivated self‑starter who enjoys challenges and is not deterred by complicated or complex situations.
  • Previous experience in the tech, payments, or retail industries.
