As an Associate at Bateman Agency, you will play a foundational role in the daily work of helping our clients tell their stories to the right audiences in the right forum at the right time. You’ll work directly with our clients and the media and influencers that are important to their growth. You’ll be mentored by the agency’s senior staff so you can truly build and expand your craft.

What you’d be doing day-to-day:

• Supporting client teams on all PR program elements—from research to execution Building smart, strategic media and influencer lists from scratch
• Proactively pitching the press and helping land meaningful media coverage Drafting and editing press materials, including pitches and releases, with clarity and precision
• Coordinating logistics for client announcements, briefings, and events Staffing briefings and handling follow-up with Tier 2 and Tier 3 media
• Tracking media coverage, scanning news, and flagging timely opportunities
• Updating speaking trackers and identifying high-impact event opportunities for clients
• Managing award submissions and editorial calendars
• Supporting new business initiatives and contributing to brainstorms

Qualifications:

• A passion for technology and its impact on the world
• A desire to work for an agency that values individuals, diversity, transparency and humanity
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, majors in Communications, English or Journalism a plus
• 1-3 years of communications or PR experience, preferably with technology companies or related industries
• Experience working with clients (prior agency experience is a plus, but not required)
• Excellent organizational, communications (written and verbal) and time management skills
• Proficiency with basic Mac computer and PR tech applications including Cision, Sysomos, Muck Rack, Meltwater, Highrise, Google Workspace Suite and News Alerts, and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to travel to and from client meetings as appropriate

Compensation:

• Salary range, based on experience, is $65,000 - $80,000
