About the role
Chime is looking for a Creative Director to shape what our brand looks, sounds and feels like — and to turn that into work people actually talk about.
This is an in-house creative leadership role on our Brand & Creative Marketing team. You will set the creative vision for integrated campaigns and carry it through every expression of the brand: brand films and broadcast, social-first work, partnerships and activations, and the always-on content that keeps a brand present between campaigns. You will lead a small in-house team of art directors, designers and copywriters, and direct the external agencies, production companies and partners who help scale the work.
We are looking for someone who thinks in platforms rather than executions — who can find the idea that holds up across a :30, a partnership, a feed and a retail moment. You should be comfortable pitching bold top-of-funnel brand work while understanding how the rest of the funnel earns it: campaigns that build awareness, move consideration and support conversion, and that stay honestly connected to what the business needs.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $ and up to $. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to- Set and evolve the creative vision for the Chime brand, and translate it into storytelling that drives awareness and consideration
- Lead integrated campaigns end to end — from platform and concept through production and final execution — across brand film and broadcast, social, partnerships, activations and owned channels
- Champion bold ideas, and make the case for them clearly to marketing, product and executive stakeholders
- Build creative that travels: social-first thinking, talent and partner collaborations, and moments designed to be shared rather than served
- Partner with brand, growth, product marketing and media leads so that campaign ideas hold up across the full funnel and are measurable against business goals
- Lead, mentor and grow a team of art directors, designers and copywriters, and set the standard for the quality of work the team ships
- Run creative reviews and brainstorms that raise the level of the idea, with clear direction and feedback people can act on
- Manage external creative agencies, production houses, and media and talent partners, and hold them to the same bar
- Use the tools that make a modern creative team faster — including AI in concepting, iteration and production — and help the team adopt what genuinely works
- Keep a sharp read on our members, the category and the cultural landscape, and let it shape the work
- 8+ years in creative leadership, including at least 5 leading brand-level work
- A portfolio of consumer-facing campaigns you can walk us through — the strategic problem, the idea, and what happened
- At least one brand platform you built or meaningfully shaped that changed how people saw a company
- Experience in a creative agency environment, and the craft standard that comes with it
- Work that has run in more than one form: brand film or broadcast produced with agency and production partners, social-native work, and partnership or activation initiatives
- A track record leading and developing a small in-house creative team, and getting the best out of external partners
- Fluency across the funnel, including the view that lower-funnel work is a creative problem too
- Excellent communication and presentation skills — you can sell an idea into a skeptical room and explain why it is right
- Practical experience using AI tools in the creative…
