Job Description & How to Apply Below

With more than 7000 members, the International Anesthesia Research Society supports the global anesthesia community through research funding, education, publications, and professional collaboration. As Member Engagement Coordinator, you will play a key role in connecting members, non-members, and volunteers to a wide range of engagement opportunities, ensuring that participation is accurately tracked and reported, and supporting IARS staff with the data needed to strengthen recruitment, retention, and engagement projects.

Reporting to the Marketing and Member Engagement Director, you will manage the membership database, monitor participation across IARS offerings, and prepare reports used to analyze trends and inform staff decision-making. You will support day‑to‑day membership and marketing operations, including processing new‑member and renewal activity, maintaining accurate member records, managing the general inquiries inbox, and assisting with the weekly member newsletter and email outreach campaigns.

You will also provide logistical support for the Membership Committee and subcommittees, including scheduling, coordinating agendas, taking minutes, tracking action items and follow‑ups, and supporting the onboarding of new committee members.

This position offers a pathway to build foundational skills to support future career growth through broad exposure to database management, communications, and member services. You’ll regularly interact directly with IARS’s membership, volunteers and senior staff and be closely involved in the implementation of a new association management system this year. As the team’s database management lead, you’ll help to establish core engagement metrics and reporting workflows that will shape how IARS connects with the anesthesia community for years to come.
