Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Program & Community Assistant (Part-Time) for a mission-driven nonprofit organization serving the San Francisco community. This is a part-time, temporary, onsite opportunity in the Castro District of San Francisco, CA, with the potential for longer-term employment.
POSITION OVERVIEW:The Program & Community Assistant will help support engaging programs, activities, events, and day-to-day operations within a welcoming community environment. This is a highly people-focused role ideal for someone who is outgoing, patient, flexible, and enjoys connecting with others. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working alongside a collaborative nonprofit team.

- Support front-desk and general administrative needs, including greeting visitors and answering phones
- Collaborate with team members and provide additional program and operational support as needed

- Patient, personable, and committed to providing a positive experience for community members
- Flexible and adaptable with a willingness to support a variety of responsibilities
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and everyday technology
- Dependable, collaborative, and able to take initiative when needed
This part-time temporary position offers $25–$29 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The assignment is anticipated to last approximately 2–3 months, with the potential for longer‑term employment.
