Job Summary:
Supervises staff involved in providing clinical patient care. Assists in ensuring the quality of patient care delivery in a specific patient care area and serves as a role model for professional nursing practice. Assists with the administration and management of personnel, fiscal, and material resources. May assume full responsibility for the unit in delegated areas and in the absence of the manager.

SalaryThe final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $221,500 - $241,800 (Annual Rate).

Required Qualifications- Three years of Pediatric Cardiac ICU RN clinical experience. Strong interpersonal skills to create and maintain a climate for effective communication and collaborative decision making. Knowledge of relevant healthcare information technology and patient care workflows and processes. Demonstrated knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, as well as related legislative, accreditation, licensing and compliance environments. Serves as a role model for professional nursing practice.
Three years of progressive experience in patient care services. Knowledge to manage disaster incidents, sentinel events and ability to problem solve with critical thinking skills. - Bachelors in Nursing
- Two years of Pediatric Cardiac ICU RN leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership, fiscal and operations management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, management and staff from all disciplines. Ability to create and maintain a goal-oriented climate of teamwork, collaboration and consistent achievement of objectives
- Masters Degree in Nursing
- CCRN
- Leadership Certification
- American Heart Association CPR for health care providers
- American Heart Association PALS
