Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit experience, or 5 years Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience instead.
License:
Active Registered Nurse License

Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Must-Have:
Strong clinical skills in pediatric cardiovascular care, including but not limited to heart transplant, ECMO, ventricular assist device management, and care of ventilated patients.

Description:

This position is for an experienced registered nurse specializing in pediatric cardiovascular intensive care.
The candidate must possess a valid registered nursing license.
The role requires advanced certifications in basic life support and pediatric advanced life support.
Experience in caring for pediatric patients with complex cardiovascular needs is essential.
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in various skills such as starting and managing IVs, central line care, and hemodynamic monitoring.
Additionally, applicants should be equipped to handle acute situations including intubation and management of dysrhythmias.
The position entails working variable shifts, including days and nights.
A commitment to teamwork and the ability to float to various departments as needed is required.
All candidates must ensure current vaccinations, including for COVID-19.
This role involves caring for a diverse patient population, including neonates, infants, children, and adolescents.
Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic work environment with a strong interdisciplinary support system.
