Travel RN - Pediatric PACU

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a Pre Op/PACU position requiring a CA RN license and significant Pre Op and PACU experience.

Job Details

• Work primarily in the Pre Op unit with some transition to PACU and ACU,

• Patient care for pre- and post-operative surgical cases in a hospital setting,

• Shifts are Monday through Friday, 4x10 hour variable day shifts from 06:00-16:30 or 11:30-22:00,

• No weekend or on-call requirements,

• 50 mile radius rule applies for candidate eligibility,

Job Requirements

• Active CA RN license required,

• Current certifications in BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS,

• Minimum of 5 years of Pre Op/PACU nursing experience,

• Must have recent experience in pre-operative patient care,

• Return staff must have been gone for at least one year before applying as a traveler,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include pre-op assessments, IV starts, foley catheter insertion, glucose checks, blood draws, executing physician orders, recovering patients, and discharging patients post-surgery,

• Candidates must be available to complete lab work within 3-5 days of signing the ACA,

• Only one holiday request for time off (RTO) will be approved during the assignment,
