Registered Nurse, Per Diem

Job Summary

Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.

Triages patients and responds appropriately according to protocol and nursing assessment. Clinical Nurse must be able to work variable shifts including 12-hour shifts, Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, early mornings, and evenings as needed.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification  positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $116.85 - $151.37 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications

* One year recent Urgent Care experience.

* 2 years RN clinical experience in Ambulatory, Emergency Department or Acute Care setting.

* Proficiency with ESI Triage.

* This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.

Preferred Qualifications

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

* BSN degree.

* Proficiency with EPIC.
