🕒 Shift

• Day Shift: Monday – Friday
• 5 × 8-hour shifts
• Time: 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM
• Floating: May float to other CPMC units or facilities for wound care consults if needed.

• Assess, monitor, and treat wounds, pressure ulcers, and skin integrity issues.
• Perform wound care treatments and dressing changes.
• Manage ostomy care (colostomy and ileostomy).
• Provide pressure ulcer assessment and staging (Stage I–IV).
• Use and manage wound care therapies such as:
  • Wound VAC therapy
  • Debridement procedures
  • Hydrocolloid, foam, and silver dressings
• Evaluate risk factors affecting skin integrity (nutrition, edema, infection, etc.).
• Document patient care using the
  ** Epic charting system.
• Educate patients and families about:
  • Wound care management
  • Ostomy care
  • Skin protection and prevention.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for treatment planning.
• Follow infection control and isolation precautions.

📋 Basic Requirements Active California Registered Nurse License Minimum 2 years of Wound Care RN experience Previous Charge Nurse experience (required) 📜 Required Certifications BLS (Basic Life Support) – from American Heart Association WOCN (Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse Certification) Must also have at least one of these certifications for 2+ years: CWOCN – Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse CWON – Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse CWCN – Certified Wound Care Nurse 💻 Technical Skills Experience with Epic charting system (preferred)
