Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive and critical care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), monitoring vital signs and managing life‑sustaining treatments.
  • Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products as prescribed by physicians, ensuring precise dosing and patient safety.
  • Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, and hemodynamic monitors.
  • Assess and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions, initiating appropriate interventions and escalating care when necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary ICU team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other nurses, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Perform routine and emergency procedures, such as intubations, central line placements, and cardiac monitoring.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients’ families, explaining complex medical information and updates on the patient’s condition.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in electronic health records (EHR), ensuring all patient interactions, medications, and procedures are properly recorded.
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and ICU policies to maintain a safe and sterile patient environment.
  • Participate in code situations and other medical emergencies, providing critical support to the care team.
Job Requirements
  • Current RN state license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or critical care setting.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
  • Strong knowledge of critical care procedures, equipment, and pharmacology.
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient in high‑stress, fast‑paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
