Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) specialist position available in San Francisco. This role involves providing advanced perioperative care for cardiac surgical procedures within the surgical suite. The position requires expertise in cardiovascular surgeries and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details- Certifications:
California Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Education and Experience:
BSN degree, minimum of 2 years of specialized operating room experience in open heart procedures - Location Requirements: CA RN License in hand, in the state of California
- Schedule:
10-hour days, minimum 40 hours per week, starting on 08/18/2026 - Required Qualifications:
CA RN License, BSN, BLS certification, ACLS certification, 2 years of OR open heart experience - Preferred Qualifications:
Certified in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CNOR), experience with hybrid ORs, advanced procedural skills in cardiovascular surgery - Special Procedures/Unit Details:
Experience with Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Aortic Aneurysm repair, Cardiothoracic robotic surgery, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, TAVR procedures, and use of Da Vinci Xi Surgical System - Travel

Expertise in cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures, use of hybrid OR technology, infection control, fire safety, intra‑aortic balloon pump management, wound management - Additional Notes:
The role involves floating to other UCSF facilities as needed; prior interdisciplinary and patient monitoring experience preferred. Orientation includes 72 hours prior to start. RTO requests are disclosed at submission and require manager approval. - Submittal Requirements:
