Occupational Health Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner needed for a 24 hour per week, temp contract opportunity with Yoh’s well-known biopharmaceutical client located in South San Francisco, CA.

Start ASAP and cover ongoing until further notice - approximately 4-6 weeks - Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 7:00am to 3:30pm.

Provide emergency care, first-aid and episodic treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses, within standing orders. This position requires the knowledge of prevention of illness & injury, protection from work-related and environmental hazards, and promotion and restoration of health. RN will maintain accurate records related to OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, and corporate reporting.

• Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Practitioner (FNP/ANP) license in state of California
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Nurse/NP in an Occupational Health, Employee Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Corrections, School Nursing, and/or Family Practice setting
• Audiometry testing (e.g., CAOHC/COHC Certified) - or willing to obtain in the future
• Trained in spirometry (e.g., NIOSH Certified) - or willing to obtain in the future
• High level of initiative and sound independent judgment

• Assessment, triage, treatment, and education for sick or injured employees
• Perform onsite physical assessments (pre-placement, return-to-work, fitness-for-duty)
• Promote wellness/wellbeing initiatives at the site
• Provide medical testing such as audiograms, vision testing, pulmonary function, respirator fit testing, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, and perform limited interpretation of tests
• TB tests, drug screens, Flu shots, and blood draws if needed
• Charting/documentation of care using EMR system (OHM)
• Case management
• Respond to emergencies onsite and provide emergency medical care as needed

• Ideal candidate is flexible to cover alternative shift times Tues/Wed/Thurs, depending on the needs of the clinic (e.g., 8am to 5pm, 6am to 2:30pm, 7am to 4pm, etc); otherwise will consistently be 7:00am to 3:30pm
• Current BLS
• For NP: must be nationally certified (ANCC or AANP) and have NPI
• For NP: current prescription authority required (DEA highly preferred)
• Computer skills with previous experience using MS Office suite and EMR systems (OHM experience a plus)
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
