Job Overview

Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR for a travel nursing assignment in San Francisco, California, starting 18 August 2026. The position is a 13‑week contract with 40 hours per week, 8‑hour shifts on a 4‑day, 10‑hour schedule (Day

Shifts:

09:00‑19:30 or 11:00‑21:30).

Perform peri‑operative and critical‑care nursing duties in the Cardiovascular Ortho‑Vascular (CVOR) suite.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with ablation, aortic, and vascular surgical procedures.
• Administering blood and blood products.
• Managing intra‑aortic balloon pumps, thoracic endovascular aortic repair, and other interventional procedures.
• Assisting with robotic and video‑assisted thoracic surgery.
• Providing post‑operative care and monitoring for cardiovascular, vascular, and surgical patients.

Required:

• Active California RN license.
• BSN or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of CVOR experience.
• ACLS, BLS, and CNOR certifications.
• Experience with the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and Epic charting.

Preferred:

• Hybrid OR experience.
• Experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center.
• Proficiency with procedures such as abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, aortic aneurysm repair, hybrid OR procedures, cardiac catheterization, carotid angioplasty, endovascular aneurysm repair, VA‑LVAD, VATS, and related vascular and thoracic surgeries.

• COVID‑19 vaccine required plus booster (medical or religious exemption only).
• Flu vaccine status unknown.

• Two recent employer references required at submission.
• Completed references and manager contact must be submitted with the application.
• Employment history at any University of California medical facility must be disclosed for re‑hire eligibility check.

Travelers may float to other UCSF facilities within a 75‑mile radius. RTO must be disclosed at submission and cannot be scheduled within the first two weeks of the assignment. Travel pairs and married couples may not be assigned to the same unit.

Pay package based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week; tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Start date 18‑Aug‑2026 12:00 AM (subject to confirmation).
