Founded in 1954 as Center Medical Hospital, Kentfield Hospital- now a subsidiary of American Advanced Management-is a Long-Term Acute care Hospital (LTACH) serving patients across two locations in Marin County and San Francisco. Our 60-bed facilities specialize in caring for individuals with critical or chronic complex medical conditions who require extended recovery periods.

POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for the overall operations for the assigned nursing unit and ensures the delivery of efficient, high quality patient care. The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act. Works with employees and other managers to develop systems and procedures necessary for daily operations, and provides training, information and support to solve problems and accomplish assigned objectives.
This position is a per diem NOC shift based in our Sabn Francisco facility.
QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or in current program with a completion date of 2 years required.
- Current, valid and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
- Minimum one (1) year of nursing management experience required.
- Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from The American Heart Association, our approved vendor, are required.
- Critical care experience preferred
- Experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Experience and knowledge of operations, including staffing and scheduling, budget management, workflow planning and staff development.
- Ability to manage the practice of nursing within the mission of the hospital.
- Demonstrated ability to participate in recruitment and hire qualified staff.
- Ability to project a professional image.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
- Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
