The Nurse Manager (Long Term Care/Geriatric Nursing) supervises patient care delivery at a licensed general acute care/skilled nursing facility with rehabilitation services.

• Direct and manage nursing care on assigned units, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care using resident outcomes data.
• Provide clinical leadership within the institution.
• Ensure unit compliance with regulatory standards.
• Represent the Nursing Division in a variety of meetings and committees.
• Ensure fiscal responsibility in managing resources.
• Maintain, monitor, and promote a resident-centered philosophy that supports the autonomy, dignity, and rights of residents and others.

Additional duties may be assigned or required as the position demands.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid California Registered Nurse License issued by the Board of Registered Nursing (including temporary or interim).
• Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing, Nursing Administration, or a closely related field.
• Two (2) years (equivalent to 4,000 hours) of experience as a Registered Nurse in a long‐term care, rehabilitation, or acute care hospital within the last five (5) years.

Substitution: Two (2) years of additional experience as an Assistant Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse in a long‑term care facility, licensed home health agency or other hospital setting may substitute for the educational requirement. One (1) year (2,000 hours) of work experience is equivalent to 30 semester credits or 45 quarter credits.

• Must possess and maintain a Resident Assessment Coordinator – Certification Training (RAC‑CT) certification.
• Spanish fluency.
