Psychiatric Lvn/Lpt
Psychiatric LVNs/LPTs are needed for a 1-month assignment covering the PM shift (3 PM–11:30 PM). Three nurses will rotate schedules to ensure two LVNs/LPTs are staffed every day, supporting med pass and direct care for adult patients in a 54-bed licensed MHRC. Physical, TB, and Livescan are required.

- One LVN/LPT off Sun/Mon
- One LVN/LPT works Fri–Tues
- Rotation may adjust as long as two LVNs/LPTs are staffed daily

Responsibilities- Perform med pass on PM shift
- Provide psychiatric nursing care to adult patients
- Monitor patient status and report changes
- Support behavioral health interventions
- Document care per facility protocol
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team
- Maintain safety standards in a locked MHRC environment
- Active CA LVN or LPT license
- Inpatient psych experience required within the past 1 year
- BLS certification
- Physical, TB, and Livescan required

- 8-hour campus shadow/orientation on 8/21 (9 AM–5 PM)

Weekly Pay Package: $1,710/week Hourly Pay: $45/hr

The Psychiatric or Mental/Behavioral Health LPN is responsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the psychiatric unit of a hospital, mental health/behavioral health hospital, or they can be responsible for care in community settings.
The LPN must demonstrate the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in collaboration with the care team.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current LPN license in state of assignment
- 1 year experience in a psychiatric care setting preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
