Registered Nurse Mother Baby​/Postpartum

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to postpartum and mother-baby patients, ensuring safe and effective delivery of patient care through the nursing process. Serve as a patient advocate, coordinating care and maintaining high standards of clinical quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' condition and develop individualized care plans tailored to postpartum and mother-baby needs.
• Implement nursing interventions focused on recovery, breastfeeding support, and family education.
• Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, adjusting care as necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate seamless patient care and ensure safety standards.
• Educate mothers and families on postpartum care, infant care, and recovery processes.
• Document patient care activities accurately and comprehensively in electronic health records.
  
  Qualifications:
• Hold a valid California RN license with Nursys verification within the last 2 weeks.
• Possess current AHA or ARC certifications, including BLS and NRP.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in postpartum or mother-baby settings.
• Demonstrate excellent clinical assessment, communication, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work evening shifts (15:00-23:30) and every other weekend.
• Willingness to float to other units such as L&D as needed.
