American Traveler is seeking a CA-licensed RN for an Emergency Department position requiring prior travel ER experience and night shift availability.

• Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric populations
• Emergency care includes shock/trauma cases such as gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations
• Cardiac monitoring responsibilities including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Epic EMR experience required

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• Current ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required
• 1 year of ER travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with IV therapy, arterial line management, and central line care
• Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management and ventilated patient care
• Experience with neurological emergencies such as CVA, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
• Knowledge of sepsis protocol and infection control/isolation precautions
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required

• Provide emergency nursing care to a wide range of patients across all age groups and socioeconomic backgrounds
• Deliver care in high-acuity trauma and shock scenarios including orthopedic and neuro-trauma cases
• Local candidates accepted at the local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning staff or travelers must have a separation period of at least 1 year before reapplying
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• First-time travelers are not eligible due to required prior travel ER experience
