Wellness Nurse Supervisor (Full-Time, AM/PM Shifts; Unit: Assisted Living)

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Wellness Nurse Supervisor, you will support the Health & Wellness Department by supervising caregiving staff, coordinating resident medical services, overseeing documentation and regulatory compliance, andfacilitatingcommunication with residents, families, and external providers. You will ensure a high standard of care through leadership, training, clinical oversight, and hands-on support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise medication technicians and caregiving staff, ensuringaccurateshift handoffs andtimelydocumentation.
• Oversee andmaintainaccurate, complete, and confidential records related to medications, treatments, and resident care.
• Assist with resident admissions, discharges, and transfers; compile and manage medical charts.
• Lead implementation of infection control policies, including COVID-19 protocols, visitation guidelines, and staff compliance measures.
• Coordinate andmonitorresident medical appointments and transportation logistics.
• Triage residentsexperiencinghealth changes or urgent needs and provide immediate clinical support.
• Addressresidentand family concerns with professionalism and compassion.
• Communicate changes in resident status to physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluations of wellness staff.
• Develop and lead training sessions, in-services, and mentoring programs to promote best practices.
• Maintain medical supply inventory and ensuretimelyordering and stocking.
• Conduct regular audits of documentation and systems to ensure compliance and quality improvement.
• Provide medication and caregiving support as needed, including administering medications, triaging incidents, and updating care plans.
• Uphold infection control procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations and resident care.

• Pay Rate: $47.00- $50.00, depending on experience
• Hours: AM Shift: 7 AM - 3:30 PM; PM Shift: 3 PM - 11:30 PM

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Current and active State of California LVN or RN license required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of recent LVN nursing experience and/or two (2) years of experience in assisted living as a Medication Technician or Caregiver in a similar community.
• New RN graduates may be considered.
• Previous supervisory or management experiencestronglypreferred.
• Experience in assisted living preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required;coursework in medical terminology or health services preferred.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to delegate, lead a team, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Knowledge of elderly care standards, infection control practices, and universal precautions.
• Demonstrated compassion for older adults and commitment to providing high-quality care.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and provide hands-on clinical support for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents in accordance withsafe body mechanics.
• Ability to respond promptly to medical emergencies.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone.
