Center Medical Director – Urgent Care (PA/NP)

Are you an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner looking for an opportunity to combine clinical practice with meaningful leadership?

Carbon Health is looking for a Full-Time Center Medical Director (CMD) to join our Sacramento urgent care team. This role offers the opportunity to remain clinically engaged while leading and developing a team of clinicians and helping shape the future of urgent care in the Sacramento community.

As a Center Medical Director, you will partner closely with the Center Manager and Area Medical Director to build a high-performing, collaborative clinical team while maintaining a strong focus on patient care, quality, safety, and patient experience.

Lead & Develop Clinicians

Mentor providers, support clinical development, participate in hiring and onboarding, provide meaningful feedback, and help create an environment where clinicians feel supported, empowered, and accountable.

Have Meaningful Leadership Support

You’ll work closely with a Clinic Manager and Area Medical Director
, with support around operations, staffing, clinician development, quality improvement, and escalation management.

Make an Impact

Help build a strong clinical team while expanding access to high-quality urgent care for patients throughout the Sacramento community.

What You'll Do Clinical Care
  • Provide evidence-based, compassionate urgent care to patients 6 months and up
  • Diagnose and treat a broad range of acute and chronic conditions appropriate for an urgent care setting.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical quality, safety, and patient experience.
  • Support and promote evidence-based clinical practices across the team.
  • Participate in clinical quality improvement initiatives and special projects.
Clinical Leadership
  • Serve as the clinical leader for your assigned urgent care center.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop clinicians to support their clinical growth and success.
  • Participate in clinician interviews, onboarding, and ongoing development.
  • Conduct regular chart reviews and clinical performance evaluations.
