American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a float pool position at a teaching hospital requiring CA RN license, BSN, and Trauma Level II experience.

• Float pool position covering all TCUs, ICUs, ED, and PACU
• 12-hour Day/Night rotating shifts on a 3x12 schedule
• Schedule cycles are 4 weeks long and may alternate between day and night shifts based on need
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Preferred experience with Epic EMR
• Must be able to float to other UCSF facilities and departments within a 75+ mile radius

• Active CA RN license required at time of submission
• BSN required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 4 years of recent ICU experience within the last 6 months to 1 year
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Completed travel assignment within the past 12 months required
• 2 references from most recent employer required
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central and PICC line care, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory failure care
• Experience managing patients with dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction

• Provide critical care nursing across multiple ICU and specialty units including CVICU, MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, and Transplant ICU
• Work in a Level II Trauma teaching hospital environment
• May be reassigned to different departments, units, or facilities at any time during the assignment based on qualifications
• All employment history with any University of California medical facility or acquired facility must be disclosed for a rehire eligibility check
• RTO must be disclosed and approved at time of offer; no additional RTO requests accepted mid-contract and RTO cannot fall within the first two weeks of the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Travel pairs allowed but generally not placed on the same unit; married couples may not work the same unit
