About This Role

The Assistant Nurse Manager
- Med/Tele oversees the daily operations of the unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards. This role is ideal for experienced nursing leaders looking to enhance staff development and improve clinical outcomes.

What You'll Do
  • Manage the unit's day-to-day clinical operations, including staffing, payroll, and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement action plans for staff development.
  • Supervise approximately 20 - 60+ employees in a single unit.
  • Monitor personnel allocation based on patient population needs.
  • Oversee daily unit operations, including human resources and safety programs.
  • Ensure coordinated treatment plans and cost-effective service utilization.
  • Collaborate with external healthcare providers for optimal patient care.
  • Research and implement best practice models from other units.
  • Investigate and resolve patient/family concerns regarding care.
Requirements Education
  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing
  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required
Experience
  • Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience required
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience as charge nurse, preceptor, or in a leadership role
Licenses & Certifications
  • Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire
  • Basic Life Support certification required
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP certification may be required for specific departments
