Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Infusion

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Outpatient Infusion/Oncology position requiring recent chemotherapy administration experience and teaching hospital background.

• Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
• BSN required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Chemo/Immunotherapy ONS/ONCC certification required
• Minimum 2 years recent adult oncology nursing experience required
• Minimum 1 year recent outpatient infusion experience administering chemotherapy/biotherapy within the last 3 years required
• Experience with infusions, pain management, transfusion therapy, and hydration required
• Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
• 2 professional references from most recent employer required
• OCN certification or other relevant specialty certification preferred
• 3+ years of adult oncology nursing experience preferred

• Outpatient Infusion Center setting supporting oncology patients
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours with variable start times between 7-9am
• 1-2 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule period
• Floating to other facility locations required as needed, within a 75+ mile radius
• Epic charting system used
• Responsibilities include administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy, IV push chemo administration, blood and blood product administration, port care, PICC line care, and infusion pump management
• Handles body fluids post-chemotherapy and administers antifungals, antivirals, antibiotics, and coagulation factors
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travel candidates
• Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed, including dates worked, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
• All requested time off must be disclosed and approved by the manager at time of offer; no additional RTO requests accepted mid-contract
• RTO cannot fall within the first two weeks of the assignment start date
• Travel pairs are allowed but generally will not be placed on the same unit
