Travel RN - Operating Room - Pediatric

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric OR RN for a 13-week teaching hospital assignment requiring a CA RN license, BSN, and significant pediatric OR experience.

• Active CA RN license required
• BSN required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years OR experience required, with significant pediatric skillset (mixed adult/peds experience acceptable)
• Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
• CNOR certification preferred
• Experience in general surgery, orthopedics, or neuro preferred
• Proficiency in laparoscopic surgery and scrubbing surgical procedures preferred
• 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration

• Pediatric OR unit within a teaching hospital setting
• Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM)
• May float to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius
• Epic charting system preferred
• Perform circulating and scrubbing duties across a wide range of pediatric surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, urology, craniofacial/plastics, podiatry, ENT, gynecology, neurology, and robotics
• Familiarity with Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and other robotic surgical equipment is beneficial
• Responsible for infection control, sterilization/disinfection, specimen handling, and implant tracking
• Skilled in emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia procedures
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed with full employment history for rehire eligibility review
• All requested time off must be disclosed at time of consideration and approved by the manager prior to start; no time off permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
