American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a teaching hospital setting requiring scrub and circulate skills across multiple surgical specialties.

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• 13-week assignment length
• Handles Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (OHNS) and Craniotomy procedures
• Handles Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS)
• Handles Plastic Surgery, Dental Surgery, and combined Neurosurgery/OHNS procedures
• Performs open and endoscopic surgical cases including free flap reconstructive procedures
• Scrub and circulate duties required
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Epic EMR experience required
• Ability to float to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius as needed

• Active CA RN license in hand required
• BSN required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience required
• Previous travel assignment experience required
• Previous charge experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
• Epic charting system experience required
• Scrub and circulate experience required
• 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration

• Perform scrub and circulate duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, plastics, neurology, cardiovascular, general surgery, endoscopic, robotics, urology, ENT, bariatrics, transplant, thoracic, and podiatry procedures
• Utilizes specialized equipment including cell saver, electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
• Any prior employment history with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed, including dates worked, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of consideration and approved by the manager at time of offer, with no additional requests accepted mid-contract and none permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Travel pairs are allowed but generally will not be placed on the same unit
