American Traveler is hiring an experienced Oncology Infusion RN requiring CA licensure, BSN, and chemotherapy certification for an outpatient infusion setting at a teaching hospital.
Details- Work in an outpatient Infusion Center within a teaching hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours with variable starts between 7-9am
- 1-2 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule period
- Ability to float to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius as needed
- Epic charting system required
- Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, blood and blood products, coagulation factors, antifungals, antivirals, and antibiotics
- Provide IV therapy, hydration, pain management, transfusion therapy, and PICC line/port care
- Perform IV push administration of chemotherapy and manage infusion pumps
- Handle body fluids post-chemotherapy administration
- Active CA RN license required at time of submission
- BSN required
- AHA BLS certification required
- Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy ONS/ONCC certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent adult clinical Oncology Nursing experience required
- Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient Infusion experience administering chemotherapy/biotherapy within the last 3 years
- Experience administering infusions, pain management, transfusion therapy, and hydration required
- Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
- OCN certification or other relevant specialty certification preferred
- 3+ years of adult Oncology Nursing experience preferred
- Locals accepted at the same rate as travel
- Prior employment history with any University of California medical facility or acquired facilities must be disclosed for rehire eligibility review
- RTO must be disclosed at time of submission and approved by the manager at time of offer; no additional requests accepted mid-contract and no RTO allowed within the first two weeks of the assignment
- Travel pairs allowed but generally not placed on the same unit; married couples may not work on the same unit
- Membership in professional organizations is recommended
