American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a float pool ICU position requiring a minimum of 4 years recent ICU experience and prior travel assignment experience.

• Float pool position covering ICUs, TCUs, ED, and PACU across UCSF facilities
• Rotating Day (3x12, 7:00-19:30) and Night (3x12, 19:00-7:30) shifts
• Shift cycles are typically 4 weeks and may alternate between day and night depending on facility need
• Required to float to other UCSF facilities and departments, including within a 75+ mile radius
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Epic charting system experience preferred

• Active CA RN license required at time of submission
• BSN required
• AHA BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 4 years of recent ICU experience within the last 6 months to 1 year
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
• Completed travel assignment within the past 12 months required
• Experience with IV therapy, central/arterial/PICC line management, blood product administration, and TPN/Lipids
• Experience with ventilated patients, ABG interpretation, and respiratory failure management
• Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias and obtaining 12-lead EKGs
• 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration

• Provide direct ICU-level nursing care with flexibility to work across multiple critical care and emergency units
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• All RTO must be disclosed and approved by the manager at time of offer; no additional RTO requests accepted mid-contract
• RTO is not permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed, including dates, units, and manager names for a rehire eligibility check
• Travel pairs are allowed but generally not placed on the same unit; married couples may not work on the same unit
