American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a float pool position at a teaching hospital, requiring CA RN license, BSN, and minimum 4 years of recent ICU experience.
Details- Float pool position covering all TCUs, ICUs, ED, and PACU within the facility
- Rotating 12-hour day (7:00-19:30) and night (19:00-7:30) shifts, 3x12 hours per week
- Schedule cycles run 4 weeks and may switch between day and night shifts depending on need
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Floating required to other UCSF facilities and departments, including reassignment within a 75+ mile radius
- Epic charting system preferred
- Active CA RN license required
- BSN required
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Minimum 4 years of recent ICU experience within the last 6 months to 1 year
- Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
- Trauma Level II experience required
- Completed travel assignment within the past 12 months required
- Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central and PICC line care, blood product administration, and TPN/Lipids administration
- Experience with ventilated patients, ABG interpretation, and suctioning required
- 2 references from most recent employer required for consideration
- Completed references required at time of consideration
- Provide direct ICU-level care across multiple critical care units including CVICU, MICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU
- Care for complex patients requiring respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, renal, and GI critical care management
- Work within a teaching hospital environment supporting advanced procedures and specialty care
- All employment history with any University of California medical facility or acquired facility must be disclosed for rehire eligibility review
- All RTO must be submitted and approved by the manager at time of offer; no additional RTO requests accepted mid-contract
- RTO is not permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
