Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant located in the San Francisco Bay Area (Hayward, CA). Responsibilities include managing appointment scheduling, answering phone calls with professional etiquette, welcoming clients, maintaining organized records, and educating pet owners about services and care practices. Ensuring a positive client experience is central to this role, alongside providing support to both clients and the veterinary team in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for two individuals who are eager to learn and are fast learners. We are willing to train the right candidates.
- Experience in client education and excellent communication skills to provide clear, compassionate, and professional guidance to clients.
- Proficiency in appointment scheduling and effective phone etiquette to manage the flow of appointments and client inquiries efficiently.
- A friendly and customer-focused approach with exceptional interpersonal skills to deliver outstanding service to clients and their pets.
- A strong understanding of basic animal care to support the veterinary team, ensuring pets’ well-being while at the facility (preferred).
- Previous experience in a veterinary or medical setting is a plus, along with proficiency in using veterinary management software.
Pay range: $20-25 per hour (dependent on experience).
