, is hiring a CCU Clinical Lead to support our Critical Care Unit
. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Senior Veterinary Assistant ready to combine advanced clinical care with team mentorship in a high‑acuity environment.

As the CCU Clinical Lead
, you will provide hands‑on clinical support for critically ill and hospitalized patients while leading and developing a team of RVTs and Veterinary Assistants. You’ll work closely with board‑certified Criticalists
, emergency doctors, and hospital leadership to ensure excellent patient outcomes and smooth daily operations.

• Lead and support RVTs and Veterinary Assistants within the Critical Care Unit
• Maintain high standards of patient care and safety for critical and ICU patients
• Provide hands‑on training, mentorship, and clinical development for CCU staff
• Assist with advanced case management, including triage, ventilator support, anesthesia monitoring, and intensive care protocols
• Partner with doctors and leadership to support workflow, staffing, and hospital goals
• Support emergency case flow and client communication for critical patients

Required:

• 5+ years of recent veterinary clinical experience
• Emergency and/or critical care experience strongly preferred

Preferred:

• Active California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license
• Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience
• Strong skills in medication calculations, anesthesia monitoring, triage, and ICU care
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills

• $37–$50/hour
