Cell Therapy Specialist II

Overview

Arsenal Bio is a privately held, clinical‑stage programmable cell therapy company engineering advanced CAR T therapies for solid tumors. The company is looking for a talented Cell Therapy Specialist II to work onsite in the Hayward/UCSF and San Francisco offices. The role supports the Technical Operations team and works closely with Manufacturing, Process Development, Quality and other support functions. The position reports to the Director of Manufacturing and requires a Tuesday to Saturday schedule, with possible on‑call off‑hours.

• Perform all tasks associated with GMP manufacturing of cellular products following batch records, tech transfer protocols, validation protocols and SOPs.
• Assist in set‑up, testing and qualification of manufacturing areas and equipment/fixtures.
• Collaborate with the Manufacturing team to execute GMP runs, working closely with Process Development, MSAT and Quality.
• Demonstrate excellent aseptic/sterile techniques.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation following GMP principles, including production batch records and SOPs.
• Perform equipment and process qualification activities; perform in‑process product testing in accordance with standard procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field and 2+ years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
• Experience in clinical‑scale cell processing (e.g., Miltenyi CliniMACS/Prodigy and equivalent platforms) is desired.
• Experience applying techniques learned from prior cell‑therapy experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build productive internal and external working relationships.
• Ability to quickly learn new skills and knowledge on the job, demonstrate productivity and deliver high‑quality results.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Capacity to multitask in a startup environment.

Arsenal Bio offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, mental health resources, virtual and telehealth options, coaching, infertility treatment, parental leave and health savings accounts. The base salary for the San Francisco Bay Area ranges from $84,900 to $104,000, with variations for other locations. The company values pay equity and considers internal equity when making offers.
