About the Position:We are looking for a EHS Specialist INSITE to join the EHS - GT Marelli - Insite team, reporting directly to the EHS Manager.
This position is based at our office in San Francisco Plant.
As the EHS Specialist INSITE at Marelli, you will be responsible to ensure observance of current health & safety regulations and Sector/Plant guidelines and standards.
Your Responsibilities will be:Health & Safety Specialist essential skills and responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the plant management in order to define the appropriate and prompt actions to reduce risks evaluated on the basis of the established grading; so as to set-up and carry out measures to protect the workers’ health and psycho-physical integrity. Prevention and protection measures shall be updated with the evolution of technical standards and technical-scientific know-how.
- Collaborate with Plant Management and EHS managers in order to identify the adequate personal protection devices (DPI) for the workers.
- Ensure periodical check, in collaboration with production line managers (also during audits), of the working environments to avoid health problems arising.
- Collaborate with Plant Management for the definition of production MANAGER OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT health and safety targets, and related programs to achieve them.
- Take part to periodical meetings on H&S, in compliance with the obligatory provisions, providing necessary reports on general and specific health situations and results of health surveillance applied.
- Collaborate with Plant Management in order to define operations and activities requiring implementation of specific control measures in order to manage associated risks, including management of changes.
- Collaborate with Emergency and EHS managers in order to identify potential emergency situations and to establish the counteracting methods, with particular reference to health aspects including the preparation and updating of the Plant emergency plan.
- Identify the risk factors and process related assessment in the plant.
- Identify preventive and protective health and safety measures in the workplace following regulations in force and Sector/Plant guidelines and standards based on specific plant organisation know-how.
- Define and implement control systems of applied measures.
- Define and implement safety procedures for plant activities in accordance with other control departments.
- Carry out internal audits to verify observance of standards and plant guidelines concerning health and safety
Education:
Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
English Proficiency:
Intermediate
