About the Team
Droyd builds autonomous robotic systems that automate repetitive manual work in real environments. We design and manufacture our hardware in-house, which means iteration, fabrication, and execution all happen under one roof.
Because these systems operate around people and in enterprise settings, compliance and certification matter early. We need someone to own the process of turning technical work into certifiable, documented systems.
About the RoleAs a Safety & Compliance Engineer at Droyd, you will drive certification and standards work across the company. You will coordinate engineering, documentation, and process requirements to help ensure our systems meet relevant ISO and customer compliance expectations.
You will work across hardware, software, and operations to track requirements, identify gaps, and keep certification efforts moving.
This role is based on‑site in San Francisco, CA.
In This Role, You'll Certification & Standards- Own compliance and certification workflows across the company
- Drive progress toward relevant ISO standards and related requirements
- Identify gaps between current systems and certification expectations
- Track documentation, testing, and process requirements needed for certification
- Help establish repeatable processes for audits, documentation, and ongoing adherence
- Coordinate with engineering teams to incorporate safety and compliance requirements into product development
- Act as the internal point person for customer and partner compliance questions
- On‑site in San Francisco, CA
- Full‑time
Compensation: $120K–$170K base salary, plus equity
We're Looking For Candidates Who- Have experience with ISO standards, certification, or regulated technical systems
- Can manage complex cross‑functional processes with many moving parts
- Are highly organized and strong in documentation
- Can work closely with engineering teams to translate standards into practical requirements
- Are comfortable owning a process end‑to‑end in a fast‑moving startup environment
- Experience with robotics, industrial systems, or safety‑critical hardware
- Experience supporting enterprise customer compliance requirements
- Familiarity with audit preparation and certification programs
