RoleWe are seeking a Microscopy Specialist to support our expansion microscopy efforts, focusing on microscopic imaging of expanded brain tissue. The ideal candidate will have significant hands-on experience performing microscopy. This is a full‑time, in‑person position based in the Bay Area.
Responsibilities- Operate microscopes to acquire high‑resolution 3D images of biological samples.
- Analyze and process microscopy data, ensuring high‑quality results for downstream analysis.
- Troubleshoot imaging issues and perform routine maintenance on microscopy equipment.
- Collaborate closely with the research team to refine imaging protocols.
- Document experimental procedures, results, and analyses thoroughly.
- 2+ years of experience performing microscopy, ideally including hands‑on experience collecting and analyzing microscopy data.
- Strong understanding of image processing and analysis software (e.g., Fiji, Imaris, or similar).
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast‑paced research environment.
