The Token Company trains machine learning models to compress raw LLM inputs before they are passed to the expensive LLMs. Our models are able to recognize parts of inputs that are redundant, reducing inference costs for scale-ups and enterprises that integrate LLMs into their products. The team is 5 people with a research and product focus.
Role OverviewAs a Member of Technical Staff on our research team, you'll own the model training stack end-to-end, from data and architecture to evaluation and shipping compression models into production.
Qualifications- A quick learner: grasping the problem deeply and iterating fast on new ideas is important.
- Strong in ML fundamentals: comfortable training, fine‑tuning and evaluating transformer models, and reasoning about new research.
- Hands‑on research experience: have built and trained models from scratch previously, ideally in a research lab, startup or scale‑up, and care about getting them into production rather than just publishing.
